How to: Create a new blank presentation in PowerPoint 95.
Solution:
Open 'PowerPoint 95' and select 'New...' from the 'File' menu. Click the 'General' tab and choose 'Blank Presentation'.
NOTE: The following procedure assumes that PowerPoint 95 has been started.
1) Select 'New...' from the 'File' menu. (The 'New Presentation' dialog box appears.)
2) Do one of the following:
a) Create a new, blank presentation:
1] Click the 'General' tab.
2] Click 'Blank Presentation'.
3] Click 'OK'. (The 'New Slide' dialog box appears.)
4] Select the appropriate slide layout from the 'Choose an Autolayout' list box.
5] Click 'OK'.
b) Create a new presentation based on an existing template or wizard:
1] Click the tab for the desired type of presentation.
2] Select the appropriate template or wizard.
3] Click 'OK'.
4] Select the appropriate slide layout from the 'Choose an Autolayout' list box.
5] (If necessary) Make appropriate choices in the displayed dialog boxes.
NOTE: Templates have an extension of '.POT'. Wizards have an extension of '.WIZARD'.
